Yellow Ribbon Prison Run 2018

The Yellow Ribbon Project (YRP) celebrates its 20th anniversary this year! YRP’s name draws inspiration from the song “Tie a Yellow Ribbon Round the Ole Oak Tree”, which sings about an ex-offender being accepted by his family upon his release. YRP was launched in 2004 as a nationwide public education campaign to spur society to give ex-offenders a second chance in life – to help unlock the second “prison of social stigma” after their release from incarceration.
